Josep Barceló Prats

Professor of the Serra Húnter Program. Diploma in Nursing (URV, 2006) and PhD in Anthropology (URV, 2014). He is professor at the Faculty of Nursing (URV) since 2009 and has been awarded at 2014 XLV Oleguer Miró i Borrás Prize for Catalan Medical History for his research on these topics. Primary line of research focuses on the history of healthcare institutions in Spain. Expanded research activity in recent years to include the history of healthcare professions and the healthcare reform process during the Franco regime. Principal Investigator for the project: "Challenges of primary healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic: community health and social participation" (2021-2025, PID 2021-1225230B-100).

Research lines: History of hospitals; history of health professions; primary health care reform.

Teaching: Degree in Nursing (Campus Catalunya and Baix Penedès Campus), Master's Degree in Nursing Research, and PhD in Nursing and Health.
